I clicked on this thinking it was about respecting cosplayers by not photographing without permission. I was a little disappointed that this is not about that.

As a father who cosplays with my young daughter, I appreciate that people find her adorable and want to take her picture. But I don't appreciate when people… » 8/28/14 12:23pm 8/28/14 12:23pm

I would assume Legend of Korra viewers are most likely fans of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, which premiered almost 10 years ago. Nickelodeon is a network that markets their content to children... which means that the fans of the series are probably at least in their mid-late teens/twenties and… » 7/24/14 12:06pm 7/24/14 12:06pm

It's hard to pick a single moment, but when I first saw the mercilessness of Luca Blight, I knew this wasn't your typical RPG. I also think cook-offs were the greatest mini-game of all time. The plot behind the mini-game was deeper than most AAA titles nowadays.

I love love love Suikoden II. » 6/26/14 4:20pm 6/26/14 4:20pm

A lot of hate in here, but as a father with an 18 month old daughter, I wholeheartedly welcome this. Jake and the Neverland Pirates is a great show for young kids and my daughter enjoys it immensely. If this is up to the standard of quality set by that show, then I would greatly prefer my daughter watching this over a… » 6/10/14 5:31pm 6/10/14 5:31pm

I thought the same thing about Knights of Sidonia at first, but I decided to not let the animation put me off and give it a chance. I am so glad I did, because it has become my favorite show this season. The worldbuilding is fantastic, and I would classify it as an awesome sci-fi show more than just a typical "giant… » 5/13/14 1:26pm 5/13/14 1:26pm

Before my Grandpa died he had a series of strokes which left him too feeble to stand and walk on his own. One day I was over at his house, picking weeds for him in his garden as he sat on a porch chair and watched longingly.

As I continued to worked he eventually spoke and said, "Brittan, when you get as old as I am… » 5/09/14 11:18am 5/09/14 11:18am

Any advice for a person whose spouse lacks time management skills? I really care about being on time and it stresses me out when we are running late. My wife doesn't care as much, and she is not good at estimating how long it will take to prepare for and drive to a location. We end up being late more often than not,… » 12/26/13 8:14am 12/26/13 8:14am
